Bonding Curve
From Know Your Memecoin — the public memecoin database & daily-updated archive
An automated pricing formula where each buy pushes the price up and each sell pushes it down — the engine behind many meme launchpads.
Bonding Curve Instead of seeding a traditional AMM pool up front, launchpads use a curve so early buyers pay less and later buyers pay more. Liquidity is virtual until graduation thresholds are hit.
Understanding the curve is how trenchers estimate when a coin is “early,” when it’s crowded, and when exit liquidity is mostly other retail.
How it works
Buys mint supply along the curve; sells burn it back. Fees and thresholds vary by platform, but the social effect is the same: a visible race from launch to graduation — or to zero.
